GraphicYou are invited to compete in the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy’s educational video campaign! This year’s theme is:
“Hepatitis C, 4 million Americans are infected, are you at risk?”
BACKGROUND
Hepatitis C is a viral infection that causes inflammation of the liver. If untreated the virus continues to damage the liver leading to cirrhosis, liver cancer and liver failure. Most people with active hepatitis C are asymptomatic and are often not diagnosed until they have signs and symptoms of advanced liver disease. This disease is curable and the best outcomes are a result of early diagnosis and treatment.
The goals of this campaign are:
These short films may include, but are not limited to, public service announcements, documentaries, parodies of pop-culture, commercials, music videos, and movie trailers. You are encouraged to work with your organization members; there is no limit to the number of videos you can submit. Individuals may also submit videos.
The winning video will be used in the screening and education of hepatitis C around the state. In addition, the winning organization or individual will win a first place prize of $500. Prizes will also be given for second and third place.
By submitting your video you permit the use of your video for public use.
